The metrologist must :
Perform laboratory and on-site calibrations;
- Manage calibration times and, more generally, all calibration records;
- Manage the company’s metrological park: ensure the calibration and verification of the instruments of
measures. This check is done in relation to the use of the device or the standard;
 Pass lab audits: BELAC (ISO17025) and ISO9001;
 Lead and ensure the consistency of all measures in the company :
o Check the calibration certificates ;
o Conduct tests on prototype temperature probes ;
o Define reference methods and means of measurement ;
o Verify the effectiveness of measurement methods and propose improvements ;
o Training users of metrology equipment ;
o Answer technical questions related to temperature measurement ;
In short, be a technical reference in the company and at the customer for the quantities of
temperature but also pressure and electric ;
 Propose technical improvements: metrology, physics, electronics and computer so that
the laboratory becomes more efficient ;
 Be a link between production and quality service ;
 Be rigorous, methodical and critical.
