En efecto, una cantidad es cualquier cosa que puede aumentar o disminuir, como, por ejemplo, una longitud, una superficie, una potencia, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Medir una cantidad G (de cualquier tipo), es compararla con otra cantidad U, del mismo tipo, elegida por unidad. El resultado de la medici\u00f3n es un n\u00famero entero (por ejemplo, 5), si se conoce la unidad U, un n\u00famero entero de x veces la cantidad en cuesti\u00f3n (en este caso, 5 veces). Una cantidad se puede medir directamente si podemos determinar la relaci\u00f3n o la igualdad o la suma de los dos valores de esta cantidad.
